In the last video, I explained how we can set up the LoRa Gateway with The Things Network Server. Taking Dragion LPS8 Indoor LoRaWAN Gateway as a reference we establish a WiFI Connection and the TTN Connection. The gateway can receive the data from LoRa nodes.
But in today's tutorial, we will take a look at the Ra-07 LoRa module-based LoRa Node. The Ra-07 LoRa Node was sent to me by Makerfabs. Compared to SX1276 or RFM95 the Ra-07 has better connectivity and can achieve a longer distance. This ready-made module can be powered via 3.7V Lithium-Ion Battery. You can connect any sensor to this module and put it at any remote location and monitor the data wirelessly on The Things Network Server.
The Ra-07 LoRa based board called Maduino Zero LoRaWan is a solution based on the ATSAMD21G18 microcontroller. The Ra-07 Maduino LoRaWan acts as a LoRaWAN node to transmit/receive the local data to the network by connecting LoRaWAN Gateway. With this module, users can easily prototype the LoRaWAN projects without any complications. The board is Arduino compatible hence we can program it using Arduino IDE.
