So, while waiting for my PC to get back from repair and for the chance to play new Devil May Cry, I found a few unlisted videos I made on Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance from over two years ago, which I ultimately decided not to publish. This one is of what is by far my favourite boss in the game, so I thought to myself why not publish this one as a sort of prelude to boss videos I'll likely post after playing DMC5 (in a few days probably).
As for the reason why the first and second half of the fight are segmented, the first one's recording came out with first moments cut out for whatever reason, and as I was really happy of how that second half turned out, I decided to go through this fight again and stitch them together afterwards. As a sidenote, the first half on revengeance difficulty has Armstrong acting pretty much the same way each time I do those attacks, so the first half here is pretty much how it looked like in that footage from the original video.
I also have a sort of speedrun video of this fight, which is not segmented, but I decided on publishing this one over that one simply because the second half of the fight looks way more interesting here. In that other one Armstrong basically repeats the attacks he does during his first phase, which happens very rarely, but makes it possible to take him down really quickly: youtu.be/hrhshJw9CiM

This one is not really that hard to be honest, rng isnt that much of a problem in a no rolling scenario against Midir and adding the no sprinting part doesnt increase it that much, except for a few instances. The first one is the fire attack he uses mid-flight, which can be avoided normally if you happen to be relatively close to the area corner from where he starts, but if youre too far (lets say in the middle of the area) then you have to improvise a bit if you dont wanna get fried. I myself use Millwood Battleaxes WA to do it, a method taken from Akio Birds no sprinting video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1Jr3aC_cTA). The second problematic attack is during phase 2, when Midir launches his Affinity attack, a bunch of humanities autotracking you wherever you go, which is basically impossible to avoid without sprinting. Dealing with this attack is pretty much a guaranteed death, but its possible for him to not use it during a fight if youre quick about it. Its way more likely for him to use it on ng+7 due to his bigger healthbar, which makes the player waay more likely to die due to RNG, but still possible, as the rest of his attacks are very consistent and can be easily avoided when you know his moveset and ways to counter it.
Btw I was kinda sitting on this video for over a year now and was unsure if I should post it (my plan was to wait until I get ng+7 kill and just leave this video be), but since Im doing this challenge for more bosses and on different ngs then I suppose it wont hurt if I post it after all. I still want to get that kill on ng+7 though :p")

One more down, a million more to go. I never did greatwood without rolling, so Im still not sure how to consistently deal with all of its attacks, though it was still a pretty interesting experience for me.
For anyone wondering about the lack of enemies, I killed them off and restarted the game before this attempt to check if they stay dead, and they were when I came through the fog wall. Otherwise you can easily deal with them in the first phase by distracting them with Alluring Skull.")
