The fundamental replicator in biology is the gene. It is not conscious, that's why we call it "selfish" only figuratively speaking. Its replicating, though, leads to organisms, to humans, and to such concepts like "selfishness", altruism", morality, and to their corresponding phenomena in human minds. It is essential to consider the history of the human organism and mind, how they were 'put together'. This series of videos is trying to explain how this happened.
