Dr Sukhwant Dhaliwal addresses the National Secular Society's conference 'Secularism 2024: Protecting liberal values' at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms on Saturday 19 October 2024. Sukhwant works at the Child and Woman Abuse Studies Unit at London Metropolitan University. She moved from frontline practice within minoritised women's organisations to undertake research on the intersection of ‘race’ and other axes of power (sex, age, disability), immigration controls, religious fundamentalism and radicalisation.
