Secretary Rollins Initiates New Public-Private Partnership to Reduce Wildfire Risk @usdaForestService

U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, USDA Forest Service and Sierra Pacific Industries (SPI) announced a $75 million Stewardship Agreement during an event in the USDA Whitten Building, for the construction and maintenance of strategically placed fuels breaks on national forests in California and Oregon. The announcement marks a new era of investment in wildfire prevention by the federal government and private industry to reduce wildfire risk.
