Corrections:
1. At 2:26 the narrator says that Alexandros holds a Master's from the American College of Greece and the University of Reading. However, Alexandros holds a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from the American College of Greece and a Master of Arts in philosophy from the University of Reading.
The Correction: Alexandros holds a B.A. in philosophy from the American College of Greece and an M.A. in philosophy from the University of Reading.
2. The Issue: At 2:29 the narrator pronounces University of Reading wrongly.
The Correction: University of Reading is actually pronounced "Redding" despite being written as "Reading".
3. The Issue: The rectangle at 4:52 and 6:22 (and other times this appears) gives the impression that in addition to Philosophy Alexandros also studied Theurgy at the University of Reading which isn't true.
The Correction: Alexandros only studied Philosophy at the University of Reading.
4. The Issue: At 3:16 Neal says the name of the website that Alexandros writes in as "Numinious Quest" when it is "Numinous Quest".
The Correction: The proper name for the website of Alexandros Lysios is Numinous Quest, not Numinious Quest.
5. The Issue: At 8:48 the wrong quote is displayed.
The Correction: The right quote is: "The Stoic Epictetus reproached his students for using the explication of texts merely to show off: “When I’m asked to comment on Chryssipus, I do not brag; rather, I blush if I cannot display conduct which resembles his teachings and is in accord with them." and it is from Pierre Hadot's book What is Ancient Philosophy? p. 153 where he also cites the ancient source he got it from.
6. The Issue: At 11:14 Alexandros says that at 396 CE Eleusis is closed down, the graphic says 395 CE Eleusis is destroyed. The truth is that both statements are wrong. The decrees by Theodosius that effectively make it illegal to run the Eleusinian Mysteries occur sometime between 391-392 CE, whereas the actual destruction of the site where they took place happened by Alaric I at 396 CE.
The Correction: The decrees by Theodosius I that effectively make it illegal to run the Eleusinian Mysteries occur sometime between 391-392 CE, whereas the actual destruction of the site where they took place happened by Alaric I at 396 CE.
7. The Issue: At 34:59 Alexandros says the word ὄλβιος and not, as it is depicted, "Orpheus".
The Correction: Alexandros said ὄλβιος/ólbios not Orpheus.
8. The Issue: At 36:25 the graphic gives just an erroneous etymology of Orpheus because it thinks that's what Alexandros is referring to, but he's just providing an etymology for ὄλβιος.
The Correction: Alexandros is suggesting an etymological analysis of ὄλβιος from ὅλος + βίος → "whole life" → one who has a full, complete, and thus blessed life, because they have completed their cycle of births and rebirths.
9. The Issue: At 36:50 the goal of the mysteries is not to become an Orpheus as the graphic says but to become ὄλβιος.
The Correction: Alexandros here is saying that the goal of the mysteries is to become ὄλβιος, in other words to become blessed by completing your cycle of deaths and rebirths.
10. The Issue: At 37:42 the graphic says that Persephone is the Bringer of Destruction. But Alexandros is referring to the ancient version of Persephone which Plato mentions in the Cratylus which was Φερσεφόνη (Phersephone) and which means "she who brings and kills".
Alexandros Lysios (M.A.)
