Students in the second year of the BEng and MEng Robotics degree programs have a module called: ROCO224 - Introduction to Robotics. In this module, part of the coursework is a fairly open task. Build a robotic arm from scratch, which must have more than 3 degrees of freedom, and make it do a task. That task can be almost anything they so choose and each year there is a great selection of mini projects which come out of it. This video highlights some of them just before the coursework submission deadline. There are robot feeders, tea and buisness deal makers, robots to get around captchas and draw, famous arms and power glove controllers! Learn more about the course and degrees at the links below:
