Rolfing Seattle - What is Rolfing? As a Rolfer, it seems everywhere I go, people always ask me what Rolfing is, wanting to know how it differs from massage, chiropractic and physical therapy.
Rolfing is holistic physical therapy designed to realign your body and eliminate neck and shoulder pain, back pain, hip pain, plantar fasciitis, iliotibial band syndrome, etc.
The older you get, the more your body accumulates poor posture habits and injuries that make you crooked. These misaligned areas of your body create strain because gravity pulls them downward and you must exert extra energy to maintain good posture.
Rolfing and Rolfer do not treat symptoms. Instead, they treat your whole body's alignment; once you are properly supported by gravity, symptoms like back, neck and shoulder pain disappear. Because Rolfing gets to the root of the cause of pain and strain, its effects tend to be longer lasting.
Why should you get a Rolfing session? Rolfing is successful in helping people with the following conditions:
- scoliosis
- back pain
- neck pain
- fibromyalgia
- plantar fascitis
- shoulder pain
- stress
- anxiety
- poor posture
Even if you have not had success with other therapies, Rolfing may help you.
