Happy Sea Turtle Week! Today we are highlighting the Loggerhead species by talking about our resident Loggerhead sea turtle: Snorkel!
Before being rescued as a tiny washback sea turtle, Snorkel suffered injuries to her face, including the loss of her sight. She was deemed non-releasable, and now has a permanent home here at Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Our Aquatic Biology department works very closely with the Sea Turtle Rehab team to ensure Snorkel, and all our other resident sea turtles, receive the best possible care. Keep watching for a glimpse on their collaboration!
