Clearwater Marine Aquarium’s sea turtle rehabilitation team welcomed 11 cold-stunned sea turtles this past weekend in coordination with the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission. The green sea turtles were transferred from the Sea Turtle Hospital at Whitney Laboratory on the East Coast of Florida, which recently experienced a significant cold-stun event that caused many sea turtles to strand due to colder temperatures. CMA is currently providing care for over 30 rescued sea turtles.
