I FIXed a DIGITUS usb 3.0, 7 in 1 SD card reader in the most siliest way. Well the issue itself was silly. TLDR/TLDW - I had to remove a piece of FOAM!
The issue, my 128GB cards would not be read, but a test 2GB card could be! I though it was a driver issue all of a sudden, since nothing else changed in my PC setup - just the windows update. I didn't find any drivers so I opened up the card reader to look at the chip, it is RealTek RTS5301.
That search brought me to Realtek Card Reader 10.0.18362.31255 drivers. I installed them and the card reader worked. Or so I thought, because when I did that I had the PCB outside of the case. And at that point I kind of knew what the issue was.
As it turns out a piece of FOAM + 128GB SD card is too THICC for the enclosure (┛◉Д◉)┛彡┻━┻
