Ever wanted to build a sensor that works just by hovering your hand? In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to create an Arduino touch-free proximity sensor using nothing more than aluminum foil and simple components. Bonus - it works through non conductive materials like acrylic and wood, but it depends on your code (threshold settings), foil size and resistor used 1M to 10M Ohm.
