Make a simple foam cutting platform jig with 2 bolts so you can adjust the cutting height.
material you need:
- a board
- 2 longer bolts
- 2 washers
- 2 normal nuts
- 4 butterfly nuts for easier adjustments (or plain nuts)
- nichrome wire of desired length
- 1-2 springs to tension the wire when it's hot (I think I didn't use strong enough springs and I should probably have used only 1)
Tools you need:
- drill
- 2 drill bits, smaller to make the hole, and bigger to countersink the bolt head
- hammer (if the bolts are not complying)
- power supply (how many Volts/Amps you need find out by using the online calculator based on wire thickness, length and the temperature you want to reach)
