Entelecheia | Scripture as Spiritual Food: Introduction to Lectio Divina @Entelecheia | Uploaded May 2020 | Updated October 2024, 2 minutes ago.
In this video I will introduce you to the practice of Lectio Divina. Lectio Divina, or divine reading, is a way of approaching our Holy Books directly, through the heart. With roots in the Christian monastic tradition, Lectio Divina has been likened to treating scripture as though it were spiritual food.

In this talk I situate the idea of spiritual food and Lectio Divina within an account of the macrocosm as a living being that moves from silence to speech and back again. I explore the idea of spiritual food within the context of the cosmology of the Gnostic Mass. I talk about that within each of us which benefits from this spiritual food as well as the possibilities of spiritual growth that can be realized through the nourishment provided by Lectio Divina and similar practices.

Here is a cheatsheet for the Lectio Divina practice for you to try on your own: lapis-mercurii.org/lvx/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Lectio-Divina-Cheatsheet.pdf

The edition of the Holy Books I use in this video is Thelema: Sealed into the Blood, edited by Clay Fouts, which is available through Amazon: amazon.com/Thelema-Sealed-Blood-Aleister-Crowley/dp/B086B9W1C9
