🌅 Last night, UC San Diego photographer Erik Jepsen was on the scene to capture the glorious event.

📸✨ This magical event at Scripps Pier happens twice a year when the setting sun aligns perfectly with the iconic pier. You may be able to capture the beauty yourself if you stop by tonight (Friday, Aug. 8) or even tomorrow (Saturday, Aug. 9). If you miss this round, you can try again in May 2026!
