Scripps Research leadership, philanthropists and scientists recently celebrated the dedication of the new Chi-Huey Wong Laboratories for Biomedical Research with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony and reception.
Thanks to philanthropic support from generous donors, including Taiwanese businessman and creator of the Tang Prize, Samuel Yin, this exciting addition to our Hazen campus was made possible. His son, Chung-Yao Yin, delivered remarks on his father’s behalf, and Professor Chi-Huey Wong, the building’s namesake, also attended, alongside Scripps Research supporter Jim Zolin, who named the first-floor conference room.
The state-of-the-art Chi-Huey Wong Laboratories is one of the largest facilities built by Scripps Research, marking a key milestone in fostering interdisciplinary collaborations across chemical and life sciences.
