Style over substance. That is a phrase that can be associated with a lot of games especially this generation; Final Fantasy XIII, No More Heroes and Asura's Wrath are three that instantly spring to mind. Unfortunately Scribblenauts Unlimited is another game that you can toss onto that ever growing pile. It's certainly not a horrible game, at times there are really nice moments and it certainly looks gorgeous with its cartoon style that wouldn't look out of place on kids TV (or "home from work with a cold" TV), but you find yourself trudging through the game either solving very easy puzzles or being totally confused by others that require a ridiculous answer.
It's at this point that I should tell you I have never played a Scribblenauts game before (mainly due to the lack of owning anything related to Nintendo) so I came at this title with all the enthusiasm of a baby who just realised it could walk.
