Thanks to a very trustworthy source close to the Scream 5 production, I have a full character breakdown of all the new leads, including names, descriptions, as well as some audition tapes that could offer some clues to the Scream 5 plot.

Most of you probably heard about the leaked production sheet from a few weeks back, which has really been the only Scream 5 news we've gotten in the last several months. But if you haven't heard about it, here's just a quick update to get you all caught up.
The movie is, as of now, being titled "Scream 5" with a working title of Parkside Alpha. The filming location is Wilmington, North Carolina (the same as Halloween Ends) and will also now be filming in mid-October 2020 for a 2021 Release date. This will put the Scream 5 release exactly 25 years after the original's. The Scream 5 writers, as we already knew, are Guy Busick and James Vanderbilt. and the Scream 5 director duo of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Radio Silence Productions - of Ready or Not fame). Original Scream franchise screenwriter Kevin Williamson will be serving as executive producer.
But perhaps the biggest revelation from the production sheet was learning that the Scream 5 cast will include the original three, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette (who was already officially signed on) to reprise their roles as the old characters, Sidney Prescott, Gale Weathers, and Dewey Riley, respectively.
However, it is still uncertain as to what capacity their roles in the movie will be, as it seems as though Spyglass only wanted to obtain the actors before they even had any sort of completed Scream 5 script. It does appear now as though the story has been mapped out, as production is in the middle of casting the characters. But it seems as though we won't be getting an update on Scream 5's new cast until they've all been wrangled up.
If you aren't satisfied enough with the lack of news coming in, and don't mind treading in Scream 5 spoilers territory, I recommend hearing these character breakdowns and then watching the 4 month old audition tapes (from before casting was temporarily put on hold) to see if you can piece together part of the plot. There is definitely a lot to sink your teeth into here. But since I don't want to spoil the potential script for anybody, you will have to do that work on your own.
