We all have our own Scream movie rankings, and a lot of people think Scream 2 is better than the original. But what about ranking all of our favorite Scream characters? Join me now in going through my list to find out how I rank the characters from Scream 2, and see which one I think is the best.

Scream 2 was released less than a year after the original. And while it is largely considered to be the best sequel in the franchise (some even giving it higher praise than the first movie) it definitely suffers from a rushed production and multiple script changes. I have much love for this movie, but after watching it like 4 times in preparation for this ranking, I've definitely noticed the flaws. However, in spite of all the setbacks, Wes Craven and crew were able to pull off a very well crafted movie. So sit back and allow me to regale you with my polarizing opinions of what might possibly be the best horror sequel ever made. Maybe.
A few caveats before you begin watching:
1. Opposite to my rankings of the original where I had a hard time placing the top tier characters, it was harder this time to rank the lesser characters, as the quality in writing and character direction took a noticeable dip in this entry. I don't think any of the characters are terrible, but the ones lower down are mediocre, while the higher ups are exceptional. Also, it should be noted that the acting here is pretty stellar on everyone's part.
2. As there are many minor characters that pop up here and there, I will only be considering characters who are shown in the pictured credits at the end of the film. There might be some exceptions, but to keep things more streamlined and not have a ridiculously long video, I will be following this
rule. So unfortunately, Phil Stevens (Omar Epps) will be absent from this particular ranking. Although, I think it's downright criminal that he wasn't recognized along with everyone else.
3. Each character is ranked relative to the movie in which I am covering. So if a character such as Sidney Prescott is ranked higher or lower from movie to movie, that is not indicative of her standing within the franchise as a whole, just in the particular movie. As there are many recurring characters in this franchise, you can expect their rankings to differ, so don't consider this my be all end all placement of any specific character.
4. These are my personal opinions. Don't be that guy/girl who needs to spread hate and vitriol online. We are all here to have fun, and if you don't agree with me, I respect your opinion, and appreciate that you do the same.
