Computer monitors don't offer a lot of value, other than shred steel, but there are computer boards that have aluminium and copper and sometimes chunks of aluminium on the stand. All flatscreens have that little board with gold fingers too.
This video shows how to take it apart, take out the good stuff, and then put all the plastic back together, ready to be taken to the recycling centre.
