I was inspired by one of the patterned papers found in this utterly amazing new Storyteller collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio to do some hand stitching. This type of hand stitching is known as sashiko, a type of Japanese hand embroidery using a running stitch to create a patterned background. I have handstitched color coordinated concentric circles. I just LOVE how they turned out! Such a great collection!
