There's conversations being had about the pressure to "get caught up". Let me provide you with a perspective; my 21yo son is away at college, my 17yo daughter is a senior in high school who does share selfies but infrequently. There's only SO many selfies that I wanna scrapbook, esp 12x12. So I've begun to use more of my "printed but not used" photo stash. I was never hung up on "catching up" because I was more concerned with documenting current stories, the ones that resonated at the time. My family isn't going to say "Suzanna/Mum! Why didn't this story get told?" They won't know the gaps left undocumented but they most certainly will enjoy the stories I did capture. As these kids (the main subjects of my storytelling in 12x12 format) age out of sharing photos, I can go back to older photos and stories like this - a Spring day spent at Biltmore enjoying all the blooms.
