![A Walk Through the National Music Museum (formerly the Shrine to Music Museum), Vermillion, DC
In this video, I take the viewer through the recently remodeled musical instrument museum that has earned the title of National museum of its type, the National Music Museum in Vermillion, South Dakota, formerly called The Shrine to Music Museum.
I have a long history with this museum, having been friends with its founder Arne Larson, and knowing all curators since then until the present personnel. I traveled to the museum to see what it was like after the expansion & renovation, and to re-establish contact with the curator(s) [ I am a curator of a smaller musical instrument museum in Wisconsin ], and to provide the documentary you are watching. My only disappointment was in not realizing that the museum is currently far from having as many populated displays as they had in the past.
