During the summer of 1994, Josephine Aldridge was walking near Dundonald Castle with her two Labrador dogs when both animals suddenly reacted with extreme fear. Moments later, she saw a towering, gorilla-like creature standing on the hillside. The figure appeared more than ten feet tall, covered in long charcoal-coloured hair and possessed glowing red slit-like eyes. Yet the grass behind it remained visible through its body, giving the impression of a cloaked or partially transparent Bigfoot-like entity.
The creature left no visible impression on the ground and had not been present moments earlier. As Josephine began to pray, the enormous figure did not run or retreat. It simply faded from view. Was this a Scottish Bigfoot, a ghostly apparition, an unknown humanoid or something even stranger?
