Clear vinyl window material (brands like Strataglass®, Crystal Clear®, O'Sea® and Regalite®) can be scored in advance of construction, instead of being cut with scissors or a seam ripper after fabrication. Scoring in advance of fabrication means you can place the future cut anywhere you want and then when you are done sewing the clear vinyl, you simply pull along the score and the clear vinyl will easily split along the score creating your opening in the window.
