Alice Hierholz, a PhD student at the Institute for System Dynamics, is developing robots to assist human workers on indoor construction projects. In the future, these construction robots are intended to take over physically demanding, repetitive, or dangerous tasks, thereby improving efficiency, quality, and safety.
Alice Hierholz conducts research in the Cluster of Excellence “Integrative Computer-Based Design and Construction for Transformative Architecture” (IntCDC). IntCDC stands for a new form of construction that consistently combines digital technologies, innovative construction methods, and architecture. The goal: to make the construction industry ready for the future.
