Here's a preview of an incredible IoT telemetry dashboard using #SciChart js, visualising the output of an F1 car (via F12025 simulator) on more than 30 charts simultaneously in the browser. This demo is written entirely in #JavaScript & #React and showcases the capability of our #WebGPU accelerated charting engine for advanced real-time & high performance data-visualisation.
SciChart is optimised for big-data and real-time workloads, delivering outstanding performance in browser for next-generation IoT telemetry streaming dashboards, real-time monitoring, quantitative or high-frequency trading applications, scientific research, medical monitoring, engineering & business applications.
The above dashboard runs on a MacBook Pro in Google Chrome, delivering over 100 FPS (video frame rate) while being recorded on a 49" ultra-wide (5K) monitor, with consistent high performance on over 30+ charts including Heatmaps, Real-time line traces, RPM/Throttle/Driver input Gauges, Scatter charts, custom 3D track map and more.
We've included a 3D model of an F1 car as a true 'digital twin' - showcasing visualisation of turn, g-force and tyre/brake temperatures as the driver operates the vehicle. This is achieved with SciChart's WebGPU 3D engine - loading a 300k triangle model and manipulating it directly from JavaScript.
This demo highlights the extreme performance of SciChart for demanding workloads. Optimising the dashboard for performance included handling real-time telemetry data, routing this throughout the app and minimising React re-renders by delegating state update of the chart to SciChart. Data is persisted to DuckDB and may be replayed, analysed or successive laps compared.
SciChart will be presenting this demo at WeAreDevelopers World Congress, Messe Berlin, July 8th - 10th. You can buy tickets here: wearedevelopers.com/world-congress/tickets
We'll have an F1 racing simulator in the booth, hooked up to a SciChart powered dashboard showing your driving skills live at video frame rates (60+ FPS). Come and drive a few laps and test how SciChart performs under highly demanding real-time workloads. Plus, you can also see how good you are at F1 racing and have some fun!
