I wrote this song in the Dolomites in Italy. It was an incredibly peaceful trip and I wanted to make a song that embodied that experience. These slower songs are always the most challenging for me so I'm excited to hear what you think! Big love fam (:
Lyrics:
Well I think I dropped a word down a drain in Boston
Now it's calling
Cold and calmly
And I think I left a phrase in the rain in London
Now it's bumming
Headed out of the crowd
Heathrow, it's bound to come home
I've run out of paper
And I'm afraid I'm in danger
Of losing every thought I've ever had
And if you gave me pages
I'm afraid they'd stay faceless
All white with no noise to be had
Well I think I left some letters in a bin in Zurich
All in cursive
Now they're cursing me out, stuck on the ground
They're lonely
And I know that my story is spread over Paris
So careless
Oh it's littered on the street for the pigeons to eat
It's floating
Well back in Connecticut built like a sedative I know you told me
That I best forget a bit care for my carelessness
Stop with the tight teeth
I've run out of paper
And I'm afraid I'm in danger
Of losing every thought I've ever had
And if you gave me pages
I'm afraid they'd stay faceless
All white with no noise to be had
No noise to be had
