Nobody likes school, and for good reason; clearly, our systems of standardized testing and conformity leave a lot to be desired as far as their mental health and educational impacts on children. But how prevalent are these critiques globally? What alternatives might we have? And why do conservatives seem so dominant when it comes to narratives about educational failures?
