When I was a young writer, I thought I had landed my dream publishing deal. I even traveled to meet the “publishing team” in person. But after paying $5,000, I never saw a single copy of my book. The publisher took the money and vanished—literally left the country! I never got my money back. 😞
Fast forward 30 years, and I now know how to spot a publishing scam from a mile away.
