It looks like we were right all along. A small stadium just could not handle the demand for the Saw concert in Hong Kong. The venue only has a two thousand seat capacity, and as expected, tickets sold out in less than ten minutes after sales opened. What makes it even funnier is that the selling period was supposed to last until August, but A'TIN Hong Kong completely wiped it out right away.
There’s also a big chance that the Li Ka Shing Foundation bought some of the tickets to give away to foreign domestic helpers, although that has not been officially confirmed yet.
As of now, there is still no post from SB19’s main page confirming that it is officially sold out. But with this level of demand, a second day for the concert is not unlikely. To be honest, I already had a strong feeling this would happen. During the screening of their Pagtatag documentary in Hong Kong, so many A'TIN were there to support, so this kind of turnout is no surprise at all.
If only they had booked a venue with a five thousand seat capacity for the Hong Kong tour, they might not even need to consider a second day. Many A'TIN are disappointed they could not secure a ticket. But do not worry, I am sure the team is already thinking about whether a second day is possible.
If they do go for a second show, all their expenses in Hong Kong would double as well from food to accommodations. Not to mention, performing two shows back to back would be more tiring for the members. But they will definitely prepare if it comes to that. They were able to handle two days at the Philippine Arena like it was nothing, so I am sure they can handle two days in Hong Kong too.
We are still waiting for the official confirmation that the concert is sold out and whether there will be a second day. And of course, let us not forget that the foundation will still be giving out free tickets, so there is still a chance for some fans to watch.
Hopefully, everyone enjoys the show and that a second day happens for those who were not able to get tickets.
