I found a snake stuck on a sticky trap that was still alive. I decided to take him home and try and rescue the little rat snake. Luckily this story had a happy ending!

I held the snake for a couple of days to make sure he was healthy and uninjured from the glue board. While he was in my care I gave him water and tried to feed him. After holding the snake for observation I released him when I thought it was appropriate. He made a seamless transition back to the wild.
