It started off good the console worked besides the drive I took it apart and cleaned the dvd drive and the laser also fixed and cleaned the belt. After making sure the drive worked I began to take the console completely apart since mine has the dreaded clock cap that can destroy the console if it fails. I took it off put it back together after using a air compressor to clean the case I had nothing else at time. Now here was my first mistake I should have removed the psu while doing this a bug got blown underneath and caused it to fail. Also most of the rust is dealt with it just discolored. Since I got to take it all apart again I will plastidip the discolored metal like I did with the dvd drive. Will also keep you all updated on if I can save this but it probably easier to order a new psu.
