{I'm using Red Heart Roll with it Sparkle which has 561 yards}
H8/5 mm hook

Tortoise Shell Stitch ~
Beginning count if you're only using this stitch
Beginning chain count - multiples of 5 plus 2 stitches
{i.e. 40 chains plus 2 chains equals 42 beginning chains}

sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet
rep - repeat
st - stitch
sp - space

R20 - ch 1, turn, {ch 5, skip 4 st, sc next st} rep { to } to last 2 st, sc in last 2 st
R21 - ch 4, turn, trc next 2 sc, [{trc, dc, ch 4, sl st in 4th ch from hook, dc, trc} all into ch 5 sp, ch 2] rep [ to ] to last ch 5 sp, trc in last 2 sc
