Walrus Audio Etherealizer
Lorre Mill Double Knot V3
Herbs and Stones Three Stems
It took a while but I finally managed to control the Three Stems. The saturation can be so extreme it will clip the signal or blow up the monitors (or your ears). I couldn’t work out the relationship between the different channels and it felt like a bad design or I lacked the skills! There also seemed to be way too much noise in the bypass signal.
The key is the mix. In this video you can see how I am working the filter knobs (white left) and saturation knobs (white middle) together, as well as tuning the mix of each channel (white right). When the filter knobs are full CCW you have to turn down the mix levels . When the filter knobs are more CW, you can get a lovely warm saturation by bringing down the saturation levels; but you have to turn up the mix to compensate. Adding in resonance levels also requires some careful tweaking.
I’m glad I persevered because I love the sounds from the Three Stems now! Snappy envelope and chunky guitar sounds at 4:00
I have split the Double Knot L and R channels so one is into the Etherealizer and the other is into the Three Stems.

![And . . . Relax. Beautiful ambient pads and bleeps [Artium Swarm, Ciat Lonbarde Peterlin synth]

A delicious pad created from a made up chord. The Swarm polyphony is in full effect. I kept the filter quite closed to give a warm, lo-fi vibe. I’m playing the keystep live with the Peterlin chirping and blooping away by itself.
