Oh my love was a mare named Satin Sorbet,
But she was a lady of the night.
Trading gold, trading gifts
For a hold and a kiss
In a city, frozen cold and snowy white,
I tried to beg! I tried to plead!
I tried to earn her company!
She never stayed, she never loved me back
It seems.
And so she left me all alone;
Amidst the icy cobblestones.
And now I’ll sing my blues on Hearth’s Warming Eve!!

Her heart’s as cold as winter ice
But still she holds me like a vice
And my advice to you my lads is stay away
The snow keeps fallin, fallin, fallin
And I just keep on calling
But you’ll never love me back, Satin Sorbet

Oh my love had a coat like a white satin cloak
And her eyes were as blue as winter skies
Her mane was silver as the frost, but it was gold that was her cost
And it was gold I never had to pay her price
She was beautiful! And haughty!
Like a queen in mind and body!
She ate the finest food and wore the finest jewels.
I only had my love to proffer
But she didn’t like the offer
Left me broken hearted like the other fools.
