Here's a fascinating snippet from our Episode 470 from #Blackstrap Provincial Park. When #Saskatchewan hosted the 1971 #Canada Winter Games, they faced a challenge: no mountains for alpine #skiing. Their solution? Build one! They created 'Mount Blackstrap' by piling dirt and tires, adding 150 feet to the slope. Though the #ski lifts are gone, the mountain remains an iconic prairie anomaly.
