Sarcasmo, hailing from Brazil, were a death metal band and were active from 1993 to 2011. They have released 5 demos and 2 LPs.
Very broots influenced death metal, think early Cannibal Corpse with a mix of Morbid Angel sometimes. Those low gurgles don't lie!
They have 3 more demos - Funeral Corpse 1993, Incarnate In Your Body 1995 and Prision of Souls 1998 - if you guys have any of them I'd love to hear them! Email me the files if you could :)
Tracklist:
00:00 - Intro/Salvation Illusion
08:08 - Incarnate in Your Body
13:49 - Spit in Faces of Paper

![Psych Acid - We Are Next to the End [Full Demo - 1993]
Psych Acid are a death/thrash metal band from Brazil. Formed in 1990, the band released 2 demos in the 90s, this one being their debut, and then, after 18 years without new material, they released a new EP in 2013.
This band often feels like they wanted to pay homage to Demolition Hammer and sometimes to Sodom and Sepultura - all great influences! Although not very distinctly different from many other bands, Psych Acid still pulled some solid 25 minutes of riffage.
Tracklist:
00:00 - We Are Next to the End
06:24 - Sons of Judgment
14:07 - Stop the War
17:04 - I Cant Understand

![Bereavement - Our Hollow Death [Full Demo - 1993 + Bonus Material]
Bereavement were an American death/doom metal band. They formed in 1993 and in the same year released this demo, which was their only released material.
The demo was originally composed by the first 4 tracks only, but when I got my hands on it it had 6 extra tracks that I decided to include. I have no idea where they originate from and there is little to no information about the band floating around online. My best guess is that Bereavement did release at least one extra tape (that was never catalogued anywhere) with the rehearsal material, along with the Paradise Lost cover and those 2 tracks with unknown titles.
If anyone has more info on the band I would love to know! Share it in the comments or email me, whichever you prefer.
Oh yeah, and about the music - its nothing too unique, but if you like old school death/doom you will enjoy this for sure. It still has a somewhat primitive approach to the subgenre and everything fits perfectly with eachother. Not a must, but definitely an interesting release for big death/doom nerds like me.
Tracklist:
00:00 - Deceased Beloved
05:00 - When All Fall in Anguish
09:58 - Our Hollow Death
17:02 - Burial of Angels
Bonus Tracks:
21:15 - Unknown Title
28:00 - Unknown Title
34:11 - Dead Emotion (Paradise Lost Cover)
38:28 - Burial of Angels (rehearsal)
42:48 - Deceased Beloved (rehearsal)
48:25 - Our Hollow Death (rehearsal)

![Bludgeon - Abandon All Hope [Full Demo - 2001]
Bludgeon were an American death metal band. They were active from 97 to 2001 and released just 2 demos, this one right here being their last one.
Its very much death metal, but man they deliver it in such a melodic way. Could this be considered melodeath? Im actually not sure, truly on the fence myself. Vocals are really nice, cool growls. Guitars switch between an higher register for melodic riffs and lower chords for the beefy death metal parts. Interesting release! The early 2000s really were weird, man....

04:00 - The Sound of Breaking Bones

![Necronomicon - The Silver Key [Full EP - 1996]
Necronomicon are a Canadian death metal band, formed in 1988 and active ever since. In their 33 years of runtime, they released 1 demo, this EP and 6 full-lenghts, being signed to Season of Mist as of the upload of this video.
This demo is some of the gnarliest shit Ive heard in a while. Although the band moved on from this style in their later music, The Silver Key is a top tier EP. They knew how to make some knuckle dragging riffs back in the day, some times they even sound like a pseudo-BDM band which is fucking sick. Not only that, but Necronomicon nailed their atmosphere - the band knew exactly when to go full riff-mode and when to introduce some chilling synths and chants, without ever losing a single bit of the aggression.
The Silver Key packs one hell of a punch, I wish the band had kept this style.

![Mortals Dream - Burning Vision [Full Demo - 1999]
Mortals Dream were a Greek death metal band. They formed in 1995, released 4 demos and then split-up, Burning Vision being their last recorded music.
They play a very straight forward and quite melodic style of death metal in a way that definitely couldnt have come from another period in the 90s. That along the odd CGI that SCREAMS late 90s/early 00s adds up to a very interesting demo.
Edit: One thing I realized after writing this, they do sound a lot like Ripping Corpse in some moments, especially in the 3rd track Tolerance, just not as technical.

00:00 - Against Immortals
03:00 - So Innocence
06:50 - Tolerance

Sarcasmo were a death metal band from Brazil. Active from 1993 to 2011, theyve released 5 demos in the 90s and 2 LPs in the 2000s.
Unlike their first demo, Sarcasmo went for a more straight forward death metal style, althought with some broots touch - think Abramelin, but more Brazilian if that makes sense.
They have 3 more demos - Funeral Corpse 1993, Incarnate In Your Body 1995 and Prision of Souls 1998 - if you guys have any of them Id love to hear them! Email me the files if you could :)

![Dagorlad - The Shadow Grace [Full EP - 1998]
Dagorlad were an Italian melodic death metal band. They originally formed in 1993 as Hanestesia, changing name to Dagorlad in 1995. They only released this EP under that moniker, being known as Dagorquest since 1999.
I dont know whats up with me finding melodeath randomly in my old osdm download folder, 4th time this week! Anyway, Im not a huge fan of melodeath, but this EP is really really good. Starts of rather softly, but the punchy (and sometimes too loud (in a good way)) production quickly catches up. The Silent Harp its pretty much a soup with all the elements you will find in Dagorlads music. March of Dragons gets super chaotic and I love it. The EP does not lose any single bit of aggression from start to end.
Even if you dont like melodic death metal, I still think you have plenty of stuff here to enjoy.

00:00 - Beyond the Unknown Gates

![Symphonium - Christian Death [Full Demo - 1994]
This Norwegian band came up with a really sick blend of death/doom and black metal. Unfortunately, this was the only demo they ever recorded, I wouldve loved to hear a follow up LP to Christian Death.
I believe they took some notes from Goatlord and decided to give it their own spin. Sometimes the drums sounds exactly like Goatlord, specially the kick drum. The demo stays mostly in a mid-to-slow tempo during the first half, then you come across Inn I Dype Skogers Favn, which is just black metal and blast beats for almost 2 and a half minutes, followed by Syndernes Lidelse, thats essentially a 7 minute long outro (why did they do this?!?!?!?), and then the closer gets back to the real meat of the demo.
Tracklist:
00:00 - Wisdom of Darkness
04:34 - Christian Death
06:25 - Die in Fire
10:08 - Diary of a Dying Man
13:44 - Inn I Dype Skogers Favn

![Putrid Evocation - Eternal Gloom: A Void of Agony and Repugnancy [Full EP - 2021]
Eternal Gloom:... is Putrid Evocation latest conjuration, a 25 minute long occult journey through life and death.
As Ive stated before in many other videos, the current metal scene in Santiago, Chile is easily one of my favorites. In the last couple of years, that scene alone spat out the best of the best releases in recent memory - thats exactly where Putrid Evocation are from and they dont fall behind.
For this EP, they took upon the teachings of Incantation and Finlands Convulse, merged them together, and added that uniquely Chilean touch that no one else could replicate (and accompanied by a sick ass, almost abstract, cover art)
Another sick release for your top 10s for this year, and if you disagree you are wrong.

![Dementia - World of Hate [Full Demo - 1994]
If youre feeling like giving a chance to releases with terrible album covers, give it to World of Hate by the French death metallers Dementia. That artwork is really atrocious but the music is Great!
I unironically mustve downloaded this accidentally in a forum, because I wouldnt touch anything with that artwork unless someone personally told me it was good, and one day decided to give a spin - eh, why not? I thought... - and its really good! Nothing groundbreaking, but stupid beefy and very very grounded death metal. I hear some Massacra in there!
Dementia really werent good at picking artworks for their music. The cover for the debut album, In Core of the Dark Ages, is just atrocious, even worse than this imo. However, their second album Answer has a great cover art to compensate (and its NOT because it has boobs, I just like the artstyle) :)

![Manticore - Burrowers [Full Demo - 1994]
Manticore were an Australian death metal band and were active from 1992 to late 1999. In their runtime, the band released 2 demos, this one being the 2nd one, and 2 LPs.
Burrowers is the definition of short and sweet. They encapsulated a shit ton of raw cruelty and bararity in a 9 minute long demo. The tempo doesnt go lower than a moderately fast mid-tempo, anything else is fast and relentless. Deep growls and low tuned guitars accompanied by an extremly fitting and tight druming are to be found. That closing Slayer cover is also excellent, I absolutely love it.
