Sarah Kendall is an Australian comedian, writer and performer. She first gained notice in 1998 when she won the Raw Comedy competition before moving to the UK a couple of years later. She has performed stand up all over the world including a number of highly acclaimed shows at the Edinburgh Fringe where she has been twice nominated for the Perrier. As she moved away from stand up and more into storytelling, she created two seasons of the radio series Australian Trilogy for the BBC which has gone on to win numerous awards. In 2019 she created, wrote and starred in the sitcom Frayed which won a Royal Television Society award and was nominated at both the BAFTAs and AACTA Awards. Series 2 of Frayed will hit screens later this year. Sarah can currently be seen in series 11 of the BAFTA winning comedy show Taskmaster and at the time of this episode going out, she’s currently leading the series.Sarah Kendall is an Australian comedian. Sarah Parcak is an American archaeologist and Egyptologist who uses satellite imaging to identify potential archaeological sites around the world, thus making her a space archaelogist. She is a professor of Anthropology and director of the Laboratory for Global Observation at the University of Alabama where her work, alongside her husband Dr. Greg Mumford, has uncovered numerous new historical sites of significance including lost Pyramids and water sources. In 2015, she won the $1 million TED Prize and in 2016, she was the recipient of Smithsonians American Ingenuity Award in the History category. He was the Lunar Module Pilot on the 1969 Apollo 9 mission, the first crewed flight test of the lunar module, and he performed the first in-space test of the portable life support system used Armstrong and Aldrin on the Moon. He also served as backup Commander of the first crewed Skylab mission in 1973, and was in charge of developing the hardware and procedures used by the crew who had to perform in-flight repairs of the station. Since leaving NASA he has remained active in space serving as a California government science advisor and co-founding the B612 Foundation which is dedicated to defending Earth from potential asteroid impacts. He is decorated with numerous awards including the NASA Distinguished Service Medal and even an Emmy in 1969 for transmitting the first ever live TV pictures from space. * * * Once the meaning of it all was simple, if at times also cruel and/or barbaric.
