Sara Wilkinson — wife of the late Navy SEAL Chad Wilkinson, CF-L4 coach, and president of The Step Up Foundation — spoke with athletes before Individual Event 5 about loss, processing grief, and the meaning of tribute workouts.
At the 2024 CrossFit Games, individual athletes took on a version of CrossFit Hero workout CHAD1000X.
CHAD1000X honors Navy SEAL Chad Wilkinson who died by suicide on Oct. 29, 2018, due to the effects of numerous deployments, several TBIs, blast-wave injuries, and PTSD.
