The opponent, unheralded Thomas Americo from East Timor, who with an undefeated 2-0 record on boxrec is almost certainly suffering from a lack of sourced material.
Americo, the OBPF light welterweight champion, was never stopped in his career, and right after this fight he took on former champion Sang-Hyun Kim. Sadly, he appears to have been killed by militia during the East Timor independence riots in the year 2000.
