This song was inspired by reading about a few people who’d found their way back to their high school sweethearts. Even as those stories moved me to work on the tune, I dubbed it my “preposterous love song.” But recently, following a house concert, a couple came up to me and told me it was “their story.” It’s lovely to think that the song is not, after all, preposterous.
