Sonor Music Editions is proudly continuing the dive into the glorious Sermi catalogue, a renomated Italian Library label that released, between late 60s and early 70s, some among the most sought-after and insane records of the whole Library/Soundtrack genre. We're now excited to announce the first ever reissue of another Italian Library grail from the catalogue - originally issued in 1972 on Gemelli label. Sandro Brugnolini's masterpiece "UTOPIA", originally pressed on a ridiculous run, and released on a beatiful tip-on sleeve reproducing painter Michel Seuphor's abstract art. The first official release after the recent maestro's passing, conceived with the great arrangements of Giorgio Carnini at the Hammond and piano, and the direction of maestro Franco Tamponi. A brilliant and inspired Jazz-Funk and Lounge Jazz session with just amazing sounds, driven by both dreamy and underground moods, Avant-garde Jazz refined orchestrations and gorgeous grooves.

The entire album is a sonic journey, with mind-bending flute performances, mesmerizing guitar solos, and a rhythm section that hits harder than anything youve heard from I Marc 4. Whether youre into jazz, funk, or psychedelia, this LP delivers on all fronts.
Highlights include three spellbinding modal jazz compositions, the groove-laden fusion of POP IN 3 featuring funky percussion breaks, and the heavy bass-driven tracks CLOSING and VALZER DELLE LAMPADINE showcasing incredible flute and guitar solos.
But the standout track has to be BOUND TO SOUTH, a monstrous blend of Middle Eastern influences, heavy psychedelic funk, and fuzz-laden madness. Directly from the legendary RCA SP library series, heres one of the only two albums to have been released by the Italian composer Odoardo Radicchi under his moniker ‘Lamartine’, and it’s a trippy journey into early Italian Electronic and Abstract music, entirely played with vintage programmed synths, echo-delayed sounds, obsessive and repetitive electronic patterns, layered overdubs and more odd studio effects.

Rare and gorgeous Italian Library album performed by Maestro Fabio Fabor (Korvan), here killing at the piano Fender, the great Tullio De Piscopo (Zelich) bouncing at the drums, and the mysterious “Japa” at the bass. Absolutely fantastic and dynamic Free Jazz and Free Funk recording featuring a countless amount of sampling sources, beats and more Free/Avant-garde dopeness. Music composed by Fabio Fabor and ‘Raffeng’, one of the most used pseudonyms by the great Italian composer. Very underrated jam!
