8/10/2025 Monterey Bay
I met up with Jay for some Sunday morning surf fishing. High tide was passed 1pm. I should have arrived earlier.
I decided to try out the Drop Shot Rig after noticing a lot of sand crabs the night before. We were trying for striped bass Saturday night but didn't get any bites.
The beach was covered with these jellyfish-like creatures called By-the-Wind Sailor or Velellas.
