This short music production tutorial demonstrates how I make an 8-bit sample from the famous "Wilhelm Scream" sound effect using the DPCM channel FamiTracker. Many original Nintendo games used this technique to add vocal sounds to the soundtracks for NES games. You can use this idea in your music to add a unique flavor to your chip tune pieces. The DPCM channel also works great for drums and bass sounds.
