I got the chance to check out a pre-production sample of Sony's new PXW-X180 camcorder in Singapore. Although the sample camera is not really finished yet, it shows amazing promise. Very large zoom range, clever variable ND filter, but best of all great image quality. Can't believe how little noise there is and how sensitive it is for a 1/3" camcorder. Really impressed.
