It's not certain that these verses are by Van den Kerckhoven. The manuscript that contains them also contains all of the known works of Kerckhoven, attributing 26 of the pices to him and another 15 to other composers; the remaining 323 have no attribution. In addition, the MS is dated some 40 years after his death, so there's a lot of room for uncertainty.

But they're fine pieces, whoever the composer, and quite suitable for demonstrating the sounds of the organ in Krewerd, which was built in 1531.

Groningen}, recorded in July of 1985 The organ in Krewerd is the grande dame of organs in the province of Groningen. It was built in 1531, according to a later text on the case, and is placed on the stone choir screen. Most of the pipes date from 1857 or before; the 8 Prestant used in this recording is original. Its relaxed speech suits the piece well. The whole of Fiori musicali is printed as what we would call an open score; at the time this was one of the common ways of notating keyboard music. It may be useful to mention that the final measure lacks a bar-line before the final chord, and this final chord lacks its bass note. The foto at the end of the performance shows the carving at the base of the central section of pipes: a human face in the center peers out between 2 swans necks {without the swans}, with at the left & right 2 dogs in jackets twisted on their hind legs looking backward.
