Patrons of Sakura Noodle House were met with some unfortunate news, as the popular island eatery announced that it'll be closing its doors after 54 years in business on Guam. The Tamuning restaurant for more than a half-century has hosted parties, graduations, brunches after Sunday mass, birthday parties, business meetings, and countless dinners. They’ve also been an employer to scores of people, many of which stayed within hospitality.

And in addition to from heartfelt messages of gratitude from happy customers who’ve enjoyed amazing Japanese meals there for generations, one of the most common comments on Facebook was “Can you share the recipe for your salad dressing?”

So now that the final diner has been seated and the last BBQ pork has been skewered and served, we send our best wishes to the management for the meals - and memories.
