The crew crossed the North Atlantic from Norway to the Shetland Islands, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland, Newfoundland, through the St. Lawrence Seaway, and into the Great Lakes. They followed parts of the historic seafaring routes explored more than 1,000 years ago.
Draken is not a museum piece. She is a real ship, operated by a real crew, bringing history to life through seamanship, craftsmanship, exploration, and experiential archaeology.
The real ship was also used in the production of Christopher Nolanโs film The Odyssey, linking this crew and its craftsmanship to a classic seafaring story.
