This is the first of three videos showing the Saiga 7.62 rifle conversion, including: replacing the stock, installing a bullet guide, replacing the trigger group, and installing the pistol grip. In this video we install parts that are available at carolinashooterssupply.com. The kit installed is the:

Conversion Kit #2-CSS all Saiga 223, 7.62, 308, 5.45 Rifles and 410 & 20 Gauge Shotguns

The kit includes:
Modified G2 FCG with Retaining Plate
Bolt on Carolina Billet Trigger Guard
Hole Plugs
Tapco AK T-6 Collapsible Stock
Tapco SAW Grip (which we replaced with a hogue grip)

We also installed the bullet guide available from carolinashooterssupply.com so that the gun can use the tapco mags.

This is 922(r) complaint (complies with federal laws). If would probably be wise to check state legislation before converting your rifle.

Admissions:
I shouldn't have used the drill for the tapping.
I should take it slower when drilling out rivets.
I am using an awl instead of a center punch. This was done in the wee-hours of the morning and I was willing to sacrifice an awl to get it done.
